Re: Outlook POP3 connection error when all settings entered correctly

Outlook won't let you send or receive until you've re-attached the .PST
file, it has to have a delivery location. Depending on how you attempted to
move the data file to the new location you chose, you may have corrupted
your profile as well. These pages will help you with the .PST file/profile
issue(s) and there's a good chance Outlook with send and receive again once
the issue is resolved:

I re-installed Outlook in an effort to re-point my default .pst pointers
to a
new location. (When I made this change manually, it wouldn't accept the
change.) Upon doing this, Outlook continues to generate an error message
looking for the old Outlook file. But, the bigger problem is that it will
no
longer let me send and receive mail. I know that all of the settings are
correct because I have mail running on a different PC for these same
accounts. When sending a test message it generates the below error message
almost instantly:

Find incoming mail server (POP3): Outlook could not connect to the
incoming
mail server (POP3). The problem would be the server name or port, or your
server may not support SSL. Verify your port and SSL settings in More
Settings under the Advanced tab.

All settings are set the same as before when it worked and the same as my
other PC which is working correctly. Is there another port that will work
or
something that I can do to reset all of the Outlook settings?

I have tried to use the Data File Management Option under "File" but that
doesn't help anything.
