HOTMAIL: Click on messages but nothing happens

I have been having a persistent problem with Hotmail ever since it
changed to a new format several months ago. The problem occurs both on
my old computer and my new computer, whether running Windows 98 or
Windows XP, so I don't think it's peculiar to any one platform.
Whenever I am in my INBOX and click on a message, about half the time
nothing happens; and if I want to access the message, I have to reboot
my computer and try again (and even on this second attempt it will
still only succeed half the time). When this problem is occurring,
everything else on my computer works fine; there are no problems with
any other web sites (e.g., Yahoo mail works fine). I've tried Netscape
Navigator, IE, and other web browsers, but nothing seems to have
worked; it seemes that the change in Hotmail to the new format has
really caused problems for me at least. Has anyone else encountered
this problem? Are there any solutions to it, or am I doomed to abandon
my hotmail account? Thank you.
