I've not heard of that.
Does it give you an alternate spelling choice? Or say that the word is not found in the
dictionary? Or give you the option to delete the ward as happens when a word is repeated?
Is the spell checker working OK in the program that supplies the OE spell checker (e.g.
Word, Excel, Office, etc.)?
