I am going to assume that your ISP is btopenworld, and that they, like my
provider (SBC Global) have a contract with Yahoo! to provide email service
for the ISP customers. In which case I must wonder if you have the right
mail server. Upon migration to SBC Yahoo! DSL Service, my POP3 mail server
changed (from 'postoffice.pacbell.net' to 'smtp.pacbell.yahoo.com'; only as
a point of interest for yours are surely different!). Did you verify with
btopenworld that you can still use 'mail.btopenworld.com'; that you aren't
supposed to be using a POP3 server with 'yahoo' somewhere in the FQDN?

It is not an MS problem. It is a problem with the way btopenworld and Yahoo!
are managing their servers. You need to take it up with them.
