IEAK give you the ability to offer the user several predefined installation types eg:full, typical, minimal. And you can define your own. With all of these there is a Title, Description and a selection of components to include. If you change the selection of components which are part of the install then it is likely that you will want to change the description (so that the user understands what is going to happen) This is all great until you get to win 2000/XP... 2k/xp present the user with only one your defined installation types and asks the user if they want it or not.
Yes: they get what you defined
No: The installer quits
Fine
However the description of what will be installed is not related to what you type for a description in any of your defined installation types. Or to put it another way: if you have defined an installation which is different from one of the defaults then you cannot tell the user what they are going to get if they press the Go button!! They will always be told the same thing no matter what.
This will lead to LOTS OF SUPPORT CALLS from confused customers to ISPs
Is there a way to change this description?
Come on MS and answer this one (you didn't answer my last one about the Offline browser pack)
