HELP! HELP! deleted ie 6 , but not unistalled . now want to install it again !!! . PLEASE HELP!

    HI

                Please help me I am in great trouble. I had microsoft
    internet explorer 6 installed in my computer couple of week ago. While
    browsing the internet , in between a window come which that the
    internet explorer is facing some error problem . it also asks if the
    report need to be sent to microsoft office, which I promptly ignore.
    This has been going on for many days. Finally I got so fed up with the
    message that I simply deleated the microsoft soft internet explorer
    form c:\program file\internet explorer , without bothering to go to
    the add remove menu. now when i tried to install internet explorer
    from modem installation cd ( internet explorer 5.5 , as i found
    comfortable working with it) , a menu come with a message that a
    previous version of internet explorer is not fully installed and the
    process is going on . please complete the process. and i cannot
    install ie 5.5.

                 
                now i connect to the internet and browse by clicking on my
    computer and typing the url. it works , but i cannot download ie 6 .
    please help me with clear details and also how and where to download
    ie 5.5. please . i will be highly obliged
