Hi
Firstly, the avsniff.dll is from Symantec (Norton) anti-virus. Have you
checked for any updated versions?
You might also be facing some corrupt system files, but I am unsure if this
regards Windows XP or anything else vital for the current system. You can
try a repair to see if it helps:
1. Insert the Windows XP CD into your CD-ROM drive, and then restart your
computer.
2. Press any key to use the Windows XP CD to start your computer when you
are prompted with the following message:
Press any key to boot from CD
3. When you start your computer with the Windows XP CD, Setup verifies your
hardware. When you are prompted with the following options, press ENTER:
- To set up Windows XP now, press ENTER.
- To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.
- To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.Note Do not press R.
5. Press F8 to accept the Licensing Agreement.
6. When your current Windows XP installation appears in a box that contains
the following options, press R:
- To repair the selected Windows XP installation, press R.
- To continue installing a fresh copy of Windows XP without repairing,
press ESC.
Windows XP Setup automatically repairs your installation of Windows XP.
For IE6 issues use: microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser
