My version of Visual Studio is 2003. I'm guessing that while I was working
on a web app that I got a dialog that asked if I wanted to update something,
and I didn't pay much attention to it, and gave it an ok to update the
extensions. Following that, the property page of the server indicated that I
had the SharePoint extensions installed. So I uninstalled and reinstalled
IIS and FrontPage 2003 and the FP extensions. I'm still working on
connecting everything including the ASP client user. I'm still wondering if
this version of VS is compatible with the FP 2002 extensions. VS2003 may
have installed the SharePoint extensions over the older FP2002 extensions,
thus the difference between the extensions and the administration pages.
I'll find out soon enough. Live and learn I guess. Got to pay attention to
those dialog boxes. Every time I take one of them for granted something
comes back and zaps me.
