I should also probably mention that I emailed Quilogic for some help
regarding this stuff and never received an answer, hence why I am
posting here :)

created that points to a local directory where my .xml files reside.
This query is being done through a vb.net console app. When the
console app runs, it too is unable to find any indexed data.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on? I added a
DefaultColumnFile file to the ContentIndexCommon registry key to
include entries that are generated by Quilogic's RAD Tool, but it still
doesn't seem to index the data correctly.

Any help would be great!
