Point me in the right direction please!


Hi..Im very new to Indexing Service. I have a basic setup using a simple
search. I am receiving requests to see if I can set up a search to
allow the person doing the search to choose the search location (say a
subfolder under the root of the site.) that would more easily narrow
the search results. They would also like to select if they only want a
certain type of file (ex.. pdf only).
Do I need to set up an different catalog for each individual subfolder
or should something like this be done using one catalog for the whole
site and program the different search options? Im looking for the
easiest way to do this.
