How to Implement IFitlers

Hi friends, I need to implement the Ifilters in my application. My
application is a web based interface, Hence there are going to be
registry security issues and whenever we make an IFilter or implement
our own Ifilter at that time it needs to be registered in the registry
or in other words it should be associated with that file types. Hence I
am sure that If i need to associate a specific file type with my custom
made IFilter then i will have to make changes in the registry, which in
turn is quite impossible at the web based level. So can anyone give me
a solution for it.
