Mounted drive page not found error

I have mounted a usb drive as a folder wwwroot/sub/files/usbdrive
I have to other physical folders in the same location
wwwroot/sub/files/folderone
wwwroot/sub/files/foldertwo
I have all permissions set the same for browsing the directory (these
folders and the drive are filled with documents).
When I attempt to browse the directory from the web for folderone or
foldertwo, I have no problem.
When I attempt to browse the directory from the web on usbdrive, I get
a page not found error.
Any ideas on fixing this. The local hard drive is really not large
enough to create more folders in wwwroot and store all the documents
there.
Thank you,
Ralph
