If it's Windows 2000, then it's IIS 5.

Technically there is no difference. A "server" is just a machine that sits
on a network and waits for requests for things from network clients.

What happens when you try http://ipofthemachine?

What happens when you ping machniename? What happens when you ping the IP?
(from other pc's of course)

Is there a firewall running on the machine? Any network devices such as
routers that might be in the way?
