: Linux/Apache/MySQL is only an option if they wish to cater to that
: sector of the hosting market. Since the demand is high for .NET
: hosts, as well as SharePoint hosts, that may not be the market they're
: looking to serve.
I posed the question because of the 2000-4000 site desire for one server.
To me, that means they're more interested in $ than performance. Looking at
the pipe and the server that would be required to host something like that,
$ could be saved with a no-cost solution, at least on the software end. I
don't host for others so I don't know if 2000-4000 is a large amount for a
single server, although I'm sure that all depends on the content and number
of hits. I never got an answer to that question.
