I am trying to install an ASP.NET application onto a Windows XP Laptop for
demo purposes where there is no internet connection available. The
application has been deployed on servers and is known to work. I have very
limited experience with IIS configuration -- I normally handle the software
dev and db side of things. The laptop did not have IIS installed, so I
started with that. I then confirmed that IIS was running by hitting the
localhost page -- and all was fine. I went and created a virtual directory
in the IIS manager, and put required files in place.
I went to hit the home page -- it is an html page that opens up a couple of
frames -- it was served up correctly, but any of the ASPX files are not
executed, but instead display their source text. Where did I go awry?
Thanks!
