IIS6 problems

Hello.
I migrated my web sites from windows 2000 server to windows server 2003 with
IIS6.

Configuration is ok, but... i have a problem!

Sometimes, when the number of simultaneous users grows over 100-150, IIS
crashes and I have to restart
it.

Maybe someone can help me to configure application pool and IIS option to
get optimal performances.
My web sites are usually visited by 1000 simultaneous users.

Server Configuration: xeon 2,8 Giga double processor, Ram 2 Giga, SCSI
disks, bandwidth 6 Mbit.
