Hello
We have Windows 2000 Advanced server running IIS 5.0 with all the
security patches applied. This server hosts about 200 web sites that
are used for QA before they are put into a prodction environment but to
make life easier we have directory browsing enabled at the root so
people can quickly access sites.
Each site uses its full domain name as the directory name but this
seems to cause problems. If the domain name is a .co.uk or .de etc...
it works fine but if it is a .com we cannot access it for example:
subdomain.maindomain.co.uk works fine
subdomain.maindomain.com does not work.
The directories have every one set at full access and the IIS is setup
with full read access and it does not work with Window autentication
switched on or off.
Any ideas becuase I have run out.
