I have a question about dates in log files I'm hoping someone can help me
out with. I was on my server last night around 10:30, and I noticed there
was a file for Nov 30 already. HUH? The server date and time were the
correct values (from what I could tell from my watch, wall clock, and the tv
:>), and the dates on the log file itself was correct, but the dates inside
the log file were ahead. Has anyone else seen this?
I've seen this before on NT/IIS before about three years ago, but I flipped
over to linux so I didin't get to the bottom of this issue then. Now I'm
using w2k3server with latest patch and IIS6 with a few websites.
Any ideas? Please? Things still work, but I have come to the conclusion I
can't trust the dates inside the files. :<
Thanks.
