I've searched TechNet, Google, Microsoft's web site, and have come up empty
handed. We are moving web sites from an IIS5.0 server to IIS6.0 by
publishing the individual web to the new server and then placing a redirect
on the IIS5.0 server to point to the new location on the new server. We do
not want our users to have to type in the new server name, but use the
redirected URL as would work in the web browser when editing with FrontPage.
After we place the redirect in IIS, FrontPage will not resolve/redirect to
the new location. The only way we've found is for the user to type in the
new location on the new server and not use the old redirected one. We've
been unable to find out why FrontPage does not behave the same way as the web
browser redirect. I'm using FrontPage2003.
Can anyone point us in the right direction to resolve/explain this issue?
Thanks.
