Okay I've been able to solve this one for me.
I'll write the steps I've done, whether they're part of the solution
or...
I checked the logs of xp and found that service MSDTC was running as a
local service. Thanks to the advice of a friend, I changed it to run
as a networkservice (in services.msc) and restarted it.
After that, I reinstalled IIS and what a marvel, it works :)
