I have Windows XP Pro (Version 2002, SP 2) which came pre-installed
on my Dell. After receiving the machine from Dell, I added IIS (control
panel -> add/remove -> add windows components).
At that time, I installed all the available services (ftp, w3, smtp, front
page extensions). Now, I want
to play around with putting an NNTP server on my machine, but when I go back
in to update windows components,
I don't see NNTP in the list of services under IIS.
My screen looks just like this graphic,
<http://www.winnetmag.com/Files/3477/Screen_01.gif>
except I don't have the "Internet NNTP Service" entry in my dialog.
I've searched my machine and nntpsvc isn't found anywhere.
Net start nntpsvc fails and there's no NNTP virtual directory in
the IIS snap-in. How do I go about installing the NNTP service?
