I m experiencing a similar problem to "mattcatmattcat"'s problem in the
post "ASP Requests Executing"
I read the answers and i run iisstate.exe and collected its log files.
The problem we are facing is that after we try to open a connection to a
foxpro database from asp, we are not getting a response from the server,
in the debugger we see that after trying to open a connection nothing is
being executed.
we also noticed that this problem occurs on machines where there's
VS.Net installed, while on the machines where VS.Net aren't installed
(but where .net framework is installed) it's working. I have no idea is
that is relevant or not. Personnaly i don't see how VS.Net and not .Net
Framework will affect the connection to forxpro.
we tried these connection strings unsuccessfuly:
"Driver={Microsoft Visual FoxPro Driver};UID=;PWD=;SourceDB= "&
Application("SystemPath")
&";SourceType=DBF;Exclusive=No;BackgroundFetch=No;Collate=Machine;Null=N
o;Deleted=Yes"
"provider=MSDATASHAPE;Driver={Microsoft Visual FoxPro
Driver};UID=;PWD=;SourceDB= "& Application("DataPath")
&";SourceType=DBF;Exclusive=No;BackgroundFetch=No;Collate=Machine;Null=N
o;Deleted=Yes"
we r using IIS 5.0 under windows 2000.
I run iisstate against inetinfo and dllhost. The only thing that seemed
suspicious was this message from dllhost:
Thread Type: Possible ASP page. Possible DCOM activity
Executing Page: ASP.dll symbols not found. Unable to locate ASP page.
Continuing with other analysis.
No remote call being made
anyway here are the complete 2 log files:
Thx.
