Hello,
the following refers to a Win2k Server running IIS 5. I see a few different
things:
- inetinfo and dllhost combined have 100% CPU utilization. I am trying to
figure out if this is due to load on the website (this site is running
Sawtooth that can be very computationaly demanding) or it is some kind of a
problem. How can I figure this? Notice that although CPU hits 100% the system
is very responsive and I can easily remote login, nose around etc
- in addition to this dllhost process, there is one more just sitting around
and doing more or less nothing. It doesn't use up any CPU. Is this something
to worry about? I read a lot of postings that imply that there should only be
one dllhost process at any given time. Notice that this dllhost process
cannot be killed (I get a popup error if I try to kill it)
- at some point it seems that I get numerous dllhost processes and the
system gets all hogged. I read a lot of the other postings that imply that
this is due to problems in COM+ objects. Is there ANY possibility that this
is not the case?
are there any other suggestion on how to approach/troubleshoot this?
thanks
christos
