RE: iis 5.1 will not work

The uninstall worked fine and the iis 5.1 web server was taken off my
machine. The reinstall worked -after turning off norton- but the iis 5.1
was still not functioning properly.
I do not know what the metabase is or where to locate it, so I would
have to say that I do not have a backup.

This sounds like the metabase may be corrupted, do you have a backup?
When you say you tried to uninstall and reinstall and it didn't work,
what
didn't work? The uninstall or you still had the same problem after you
uninstalled and reinstalled IIS?
