Internet Explorer May Prompt You for a Password
Make sure the site is in the "Intranet" IE security zone. IE (nor any other
browser) is *not* going to send credentials out to any webserver that's out
on the internet just because the webserver asks for it - the user has to
manually supply the credentials. However, if the site is in the "Intranet"
security zone, IE will, by default, attempt to autologon. Please read the KB
article above for detailed information.
