It could have been one of a million things - most likely static HTML or
images would have served OK, and something in the ASP/ASP.Net process was
hosed. Keep an eye on the server, and next time grab a screenshot of the
error page - make sure "Show friendly HTTP error messages" is turned off in
your browser. Take a look at the event logs, there may be some clues in
there as well.
