I have been running IIS 5 on Win2K Server as a stand alone machine.
Yesterday I uninstalled the lockdown tool as it was causing some issues with
the urls.
Now when I try to launch the MMC or Internet Service Manager from the
program files I receive the error that:
"Error connecting to server"
"The system cannot find the path specified"
"Do you wish to continue to connect to it in the future?"
My WWW is still running and I can browse the pages.
My FTP is no longer running and cannot find the path when trying to start it
manually from the command prompt.
My SUS is running on the same machine and its not working cus IIS mmc will
not open to server.
Event viewer reports these to errors 116 and 7032.
"the servicve metabase path '/LM/MSFTPSVC/ could not be opened.
The data is the error"
... any ideas on where or what to start trying or should I just reinstall
IIS 5 now and be done with it?
