Hi all,
everytime i try to run my iis by going to the
http://localhost ... i get 500 server exception.
I look in the Eventviewer and I get DCOM error stating
that it is trying to login into my old computer name
IWAM_%old computer name% ... however this user does
not exist anymore in any groups or users. I uninstalled
IIS, rebooted, deleted all IWAM_ and IUSR_ IIS accounts,
rebooted, installed IIS and still get the error.
Eventhough IIS creates IIS accounts for my current
computer name, it seems as though IIS is still trying
to login with the old IIS accounts (which don't exist or
they are hidden I can't find them)
Please help, have been working on this problem for
a week now. I tried the http://support.microsoft.com/?
id=297989 and it does not apply to my error because the
other accounts do not exist but I get the same error.
Please HELP ME!!!!
