Question a)
Error 0x80090016 is "NTE_BAD_KEYSET" #Keyset Does Not Exist

Please inform us of the exact steps you are taking to install the client
cert "into IE". Please note that on the WinNT line of products, the
certificate store is maintained by the *OS*, not by IE. On the Win9x range
of OSes, the cert store is maintained by IE.

Question b)
<quote>
And this is the kicker u cant use SSL on w2003 IE on any other port apart
from 443
</quote>

IIS is used to serve SSL secured sites, not IE. It would also help if you
used more appropriate spelling and grammar, as it is difficult to determine
what exactly you are trying to do. Are you trying to use client
certificates? Or are you using server certificates, and attempting to
connect to an SSL secured website on a port other than 443? Did you try
(note the use of both the protocol and port number):
https://yourservername:444/

Cheers
Ken
