Hello there,
I am running Windows 2003 Server and setup the application server. I then setup Trend Micro OfficeScan Server. OfficeScan server uses IIS to create a web page for administration. My problem is that I did not check to make sure IIS was working properly before installing it. My default web and officescan web page do not work, they are stopped. The administration web page and Msappspool web pages work fine. IIS is showing the processes were stopped because the application is in use. Event viewer is showing the following: Service: W3CSvr EventID: 1004. The machine in use is my gateway server and is running ISA Server 2000. I tried installing IIS to use the internal network connection. I then uninstalled OfficeScan and IIS. Restarted the machine then reinstalled IIS. The default web still was locked out, but the administration web page and Msappspool still work. I am wondering what is causing IIS not to work correctly and giving me the 1004 error and a way to resolve the problem.
Software running:
Windows Server 2003
ISA Server 2000 w/applicable Service Packs
IIS 6.0
Thank You,
Michael Mastro II
