Hi all

We've been having a problem with all of our webservers (3 win2k
boxes), where they stop serving our coldfusion content. They are fine
for a seemingly random period of time, sometimes for weeks, and then
for no good reason they just stop. Am no IIS genius so would love some
pointers.

- The current connections counter in performance monitor creeps up to
around 300. Although I'm sure there is probably a better monitor for
this...
- Static HTML files continue to be served, but not after about 200
connections
- Win 2K server. SP4. All up to date
- IIS 5
- Coldfusion 5
- MDAC 2.8
- All virus checked and not infected
- We do not have any ASP scripts
- All sample apps removed
- No FTP server

I've run IIS State and am getting a lot of the following

Thread ID: 10
System Thread ID: dd4
Kernel Time: 0:0:0.0
User Time: 0:0:0.0
Thread Type: Possible ASP page. Possible DCOM activity
Executing Page: ASP.dll symbols not found. Unable to locate ASP page.
Continuing with other analysis.

I'm really not able to interpret what I'm seeing in the dump though.
But as mentioned above there are no ASP scripts on our server so this
only serves to confuse me more :( Am willing to post the full output
if necessary, or at least zip it up and email to whoever might be able
to help me out.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Dave
