Hi,
there is maybe a strange function in the IIS or in Frontpage. I canīt find a
the reason. by myself. So I need some help.
I published a website as an update of old pages with FTP on our IIS5 Server
(W2K-Server). The design and all fuctions are working after the first tests
over the internet.
After a while (maybe hours) the design changed to different text-styles and
a flash on the homepage dosnīt work anymore.
There was no information in any log what happend.
I found out, that I must delete the site in the IIS-configuration. Than
arrange a new entry, same than the old configuration and the design was
again like we want (styles and working flash). But after a certain time the
layout changed again. This is to reproduce.
This experience I tried:
I copied the full website to another directory gives this web a new name and
published the site only over an IP. There was no change over two weeks.
I removed all links to the old side configuration from the server include
the entries in the registry. But als this gives only a help for a little
time.
Is there in the IIS or in Frontpage a funktion that restore old styles for a
given name of a website? Has anybody heard about such a problem?
For an answer I would be happy
Helmut
