Re: IIS does not start

Unfortunately, I have no other suggestions. Something is preventing you
from having a clean installation of IIS, and in particular, your metabase
keeps getting corrupted. Seems like something else on your machine is
intentionally doing this...

I already TRIED this!! (Uninstalled IIS from Add/Remove Programs wizard,
removed all from %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\inetsrv).
Additionally, I deleted all keys within the windows registry containing
anything like "IIS", I deleted all similar files within the windows
installation dir, but nothing helps.
I re-installed SP4 after removing IIS (with IIS installed, installation of
SP4 fails, I suppose because of the IIS start problems), but the problem
persists. !!??!!!
