Hello,
What happens when you switch the Application protection for the site
(Properties-> Home directory) to Low? I am pretty sure the asp pages will
serve once you make this change. To troubleshoot the "general access
denied" error, here is what you can do:
1) Switch the application protection back to Medium (default)
2) Obtain the Filemon and Regmon from www.sysinternals.com
3) Doubleclick on filemon.exe and regmon.exe. This will start the logging
automatically.
4) Reproduce the error
5) Hit Ctrl+E or click on the Magnifying glass at the top to stop the
capture.
6) Save the captures (File-> Save As) as log files
7) Search the filemon log for Access Denied and the regmon log for AccDenied
8) Fix the permissions for the user and file/registry key from step 7.
Hope this helps!!!
