You do this with NTFS permissions on tha actual folder
that the virtual directory points to.

Annoymous access and basic authentication for the
website.... Now i have few virtual folder which I have
given anonymous access to and few I have not....

under the website abc.com..My concern is that I have
logged into the website with an authentication user name
of the Domain which IIS 6.0 is belongs. Now when i click
on the link to virt2 virtual folder ( when the permission
set is Basic authentication ) ...It pops up for username
and password ...
> Well if I enable the annonymous access for the virt2
folder then am able to see the webpage which is under
virt2...The issues is that if I enable the anonnymous
access to the virt2 folder...then anyone access
http://abc.com/virt2 can access the home page with out
an authentication
>How can i ensure to disallow users directly logs into
http://abc.com/virt2 ...but at the same if I log into the
website with proper authentication and then click on the
link virt2, it should take me through with out asking for
username and password
