IIS 6 and file recognition

I've been linking to files in different formats via Win 2K and IIS 5 for
awhile with no problems. If it does not recognize the file, it gives me the
option to save it. I can right mouse click the link and save the file as
well. This is not the case however with Win 2003 and IIS 6. With the
default set-up, if a file of unknown format is linked, a 404 error returns.
And the file cannot be saved by right mouse clicking the link. It says the
file cannot be found. To test this I created a simple text file in notepad
and saved it as a ".bde" file. I linked to this file via IIS 5. It
actually opened the text file and I could save it as well by right mouse
clicking. I performed the save test with the same file in IIS 6 and it
errored out and I was unable to save. I believe IIS 6 is locked down pretty
tight by default. Is there another step I need to take to get it to
recognize additional files so I can link to them? I specifically want to
open an ".ica" file. Thanks.
