Hello,
What happens when you browse to htm or html pages on the server? Be sure to
turn off friendly error messages in the browser before you browse the pages
( IE-> Tools -> Internet Options-> Advanced-> uncheck Show friendly http
error messages, close and reopen the IE browser).
Check the event logs to see what errors are logged in there.
Confirm in the IIS Manager-> Site properties-> Home directory tab->
Configuration button-> if .htm or .html are listed there and what dlls they
are mapped to.
Do you have URLScan installed on the server by any chance? It could be that
you are denying .htm/.html requests. We should be able to confirm this by
looking at the IIS logs for the site. If it appears that URLscan is
rejecting these requests, then you can modify the urlscan,ini file to allow
.htm and .html
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Yogita Manghnani
