Hi Scott,
This is an expected 'by design' behavior. IIS4/IIS5/5.1 will not
serve file larger than 4GB:
234923 Err Msg: HTTP/1.1 501 Not Supported

The limitation doesn't exist on IIS6 but you are using IE, the
download may fail to be complete due to another known limitation of
IE:
You Cannot Download Files That Are 2 GB or Larger
