On our internal web site, we use Basic Authentication for some pages. When we use the intranet web server using http://ServerName, it works fine. When we use http://serverName.domainname.com, we get a dialog box for NT Authentication. Some of our users who come in through vpn or external connection use the FQDN name.
We are running Windows 2000 server IIS.
