Jonathan thanks for the reply...this is driving me crazy :-)
I have been playing with folder properties on wwwroot and have gotten
IUSR_<computername> to view .html and .gif files...but not .asp files in the
root directory.
So I am getting the password prompt on:
http://localhost
http://localhost/localstart.asp
What's got me is why I get the prompt on this and not on:
http://localhost/iisHelp/iis/misc/default.asp
I'm beginning to think it has to do with NTFS permissions on the wwwroot
folder, but I've tried about every combination I know, which has given me
the .html and .gif sucess...but I need to have full access to localhost
without the prompt.
Can you help?
TIA,
Kevin
