Hi,
I've a windows 2003 server.
on my web site, I've created a /webdav virtual folder which go to the local
folder with my documents. (allow read, write, browse)
My Win XP client can access it and can map it to a local drive.
So all works fine.
But I've a question about the searching capabilities...
does IIS webdav redirect search request to index server?
On the log file of my web site, I can see that my client do a full scan when
I try to find a specific file name or when I search a content in my files.
Also this generates a big traffic on my web site.
So, does it possible to use index server? or to execute the search request
at the server side?
other question...
my log display that each request start with a 401 error, then a 207 result.
and my anonymous access is disable.
So there is a lot of roundtrip to my server.
how to correct this and insure that my requests always use the user
authentication?
Thanks.
Jerome.
