What is the reply you get?

Please try to disable your software firewall (you will still be protected by
the hardware firewall), and try to send an email.

Are you still getting the

"The connection was dropped by the remote host"

In event viewer? I really need to know this. I also need to know if you get
any other message there, related or not related to SMTP. Look at the time,
and see what you have around the time you try to send to a remote host.
