Hello,
What other errors do you get along with the W3svc 36 warning? Please post
the entire event entry (with the description) so we have complete
information. It could be that we don't have proper ntfs permissions on
certain files.
1) Obtain the Filemon tool from www.sysinternals.com
2) Doubleclick on filemon.exe
3) Click on the Magnifying glass at the top or hit Ctrl+ E, to stop tracing.
4) Click on Edit-> Clear Display or hit Ctrl+X to clear the display.
5)Once the display is clear in Filemon window, hit Ctrl+E to start capture.
6) Reproduce the error , then stop the Filemon capture.
7) Save the captures (File-> Save As) as a log file and open it in notepad
8) Search for Access Denied and you will find if a particular user account
is being denied access on any file on the server.
You might also want to check if putting the site in Low isolation helps
(site properties-> Home directory tab-> Application protection). If it does
then there is a problem with the IWAM account.
Let me know if this helps!
Thanks,
Yogita Manghnani
