I've seen that error from IE for some file types if you have the "Do not
save encrypted data to disk" option enabled (this is under Options, advanced
tab).

You have to uncheck it to be able to download and save files over SSL.
There is nothing you can do on the server to make this work -- the client
must change the setting. In fact, IE does download the entire file from IIS
over SSL, but with this setting enabled, it then pops up that dialog box and
never saves it to disk.

I don't know is this a IIS configuration problem, Internet
Explorer or Acrobat reader problem.
We have set up a SSL site where users can download a pdf
file.  The pdf file is a big file with indexing.  When a
user tries to download the pdf file, he will only download
a couple of pages from the pdf file.  It works fine with
Netscape in PC, also IE and Netscape in Macintosh.  But it
doesn't work with IE 6.x in PC.  Users are not able to
download or save the pdf file.
The error message says, "Internet Explorer cannot download
FileName.asp?index=453068415 from www.website.com.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet
site.  The requested site is either unavailable or cannot
be found.  Please try again later."
Does anyone have any idea?
