Thanks, ive also read this : http://www.iisfaq.com/?View=A129
The thing is they do help sort of but they talk about a domain name and not
a IP address.
They all say about making finance.mydomain.com and sales.mydomain.com going
to a single IP. Ive looked and maybe i am missing sumthhing here but i need
this.
I have 1 IP address, I wish to make say 10 sites for people for this in the
form of :
http://10.10.10.10/site1 and http://10.10.10.10/site2 and so on...
Ive created the sites in IIS5 and there is allresy one site that uses the IP
on its own http://10.10.10 .10 will go to a site so i try to make
http://10.10.10.10/site1 i create a new site in IIS5 and give it the same IP
and port number but call the host header name "site1" if i connect to
http://10.10.10.10/site1 i get nothing, even though IIS5 is set to point to
that home dir for site. I cant figure this out, i been on it for hours so
maybe i am missing the obvious.
I also edit the server hosts file and add 10.10.10.10 as site1 now on the
server if i do http://site1 it works (as expected) but not from the external
ip, what am i missing ?
