I do hope someone can explain how we can get our systems back!! This is
exactly the same problem I just posted in this newsgroup entitled:
"Missing IIS Out-of-Process Pooled applications component"?
The problem is related to IWAM permissions (I think) , but I can't solve it
using the link to MS's help (again in my post).
You can probably get your site temporarily operational by using the IIS
MMC, (control panel > admin), selecting the appopriate folder, right click
for properties > home directory and set application protection to "low".
This has worked for me, and let run both straight forward ASP and those
using instantiated COM objects (Server.CreateOject("...)), neither of which
worked before.
I'm sure installing either Delphi 8.NET and/or DevExpress WebFramework has
"damaged" my IIS. Certainly, under component manager, the "IIS
Out-of-process" component is missing and I can't re-install it using the MS
instructions. I think this missing component is the cause of the problem?
Help!
