Win2000SP4 failure

What might cause the following problem during update and
how to fix the situation?
The message was:

sp4iis.exe - Application error
The instruction at "0x01001ee7" referenced memory
at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

PS. Oh - and I also tried to stop iis service before
running SP4 setup. It did not change anything
