Removing IUSR_Server User

I created another user for anonymous logon, and applied it to the IIS site.
In the process of testing, I did change the password for IUSR. Now, I
continue to get security logon failures for IUSR in the event log. Is there
any way to get rid of this user from being associated with the computer/IIS?
I have not tried to delete it yet.
