Possible to configure SMTP to refuse relaying certains e-addresses

I'm using an IIS SMTP inside a Win Serv 2003 Web Edition as a relay to
an Exchange server, using the instructions published here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=324272
So far so good. Besides this basic configuration, I'd like to go a bit
further. Actually, I see that some spams are sent to invalid e-addresses
(due to users gone) with the following apparent consequences:
1. spams are placed in badmails.
2. a mail is sent back to the sender. If such sender doesn't exist, the
mail is rebounced back.
With the enormous quantities of spams, these are really additional
waste of bandwidth. So I would rather like the SMTP server refuses these
invalid e-addresses. I've looked through everywhere but still can't find
anything close to what I want. Did I miss something or is it just impossible?
.
