Egbert, this feature is available in the RC0 builds I've been working with. I reported a bug in the newsgroups or asked about it. The IIS team has been mum, which they don't really support IIS SMTP Service anyway.
Here is a description of what I've been experiencing.
"I've been trying to figure out if anyone has seen this. Windows
Server 2008 SMTP relay restrictions can't be set on an x64 machine.
I can set the properties remotely, but they do not display or be set
on the box. I tried to un-install / reinstall, turn off UAC, Run as
Administrator. I get unspecified error.

Does anyone know?
Will the service and the published MSDN documentation still be appliable on that OS?
Thanks
.
